About This Place

Nestled in the heart of downtown Santa Cruz, Pacific Point Market & Cafe offers a delightful blend of a cozy cafe and a convenient store that’s perfectly positioned just a short stroll from the iconic Wharf. This charming spot draws locals and visitors alike with its warm, inviting atmosphere and a menu bursting with flavorful comfort foods that celebrate the best of California’s casual dining.

The star attraction here undoubtedly lies in their breakfast and lunch burritos — generous, freshly made, and packed with vibrant, high-quality ingredients. Whether you choose the simple yet satisfying Vegetarian Burrito filled with beans, rice, and melted cheese, or you’re feeling adventurous with the Gourmet Burrito loaded with avocado, artichoke hearts, and salsa, each bite sings with bold, authentic flavors. Fans rave about how these burritos are not only hearty but remarkably fresh, made to order with precision and care that elevates every mouthful.

Beyond the burritos, Pacific Point Market & Cafe shines with other menu highlights such as the crispy, golden Fish and Chips that boast a perfect balance of crunch and tender flaky fish, and the refreshingly vibrant Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice that offers a bright citrus burst to start your day on a sunny note. Their breakfast selections, like the chorizo and egg burrito or the Cali burrito, are equally satisfying and praised for generous portions — a fact several customers have joyfully noted, describing the burritos as "huge," perfect for those hungry morning appetites.

To complement the food, the cafe serves robust coffee choices including creamy lattes, rich mochas, and expertly crafted cappuccinos that provide that smooth warm hug in every cup — ideal for fueling up before exploring Santa Cruz. If you're looking for something different, the Michelada is an intriguing twist on a classic, refreshing and lively, perfect for a late morning or lunch pick-me-up.

What truly sets Pacific Point Market & Cafe apart is its friendly and attentive service, combined with the casual, relaxed vibe that invites you to linger over your meal or grab a quick bite before heading out. Customers consistently highlight the warm hospitality and fast service despite the kitchen’s made-to-order approach, creating a perfect balance of quality and efficiency.

Outdoor seating is available, allowing you to soak up the laid-back coastal ambiance while enjoying your meal, especially appealing with the nearby ocean breeze and proximity to the Wharf. For those coming from out of town (or locals treating themselves), the cash-only policy is easy to navigate thanks to the on-site ATM, a small but considerate detail.

In short, Pacific Point Market & Cafe is a must-visit for anyone craving a memorable, flavorful, and authentic Santa Cruz breakfast or lunch experience. Combining generous portions, diverse menu options, excellent coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a spot that consistently leaves guests satisfied and eager to return.

When visiting from out of town, I rely heavily on reviews when figuring out where to eat. This breakfast burrito was fantastic! It was also HUGE and I got the small! It was a quick walk from the Wharf, watch the sunrise and then grab breakfast. You won't be disappointed.

The place to go if you want a good breakfast! Not super quick because they obviously make everything to order. I had an 'everything' bagel with cream cheese and hubby had a sausage burrito (regular size). Bagel was super crunchy and loaded with cream cheese. But that burrito! It was huge and very thin crust. Loaded with freshly cooked ingredients. And if you ask for salsa they will give you a little cup to drizzle on. Good self serve regular coffee (but no decaf). They also have a good selection of fancy coffee but we just had the basic. Large menu for such a tiny place. All seating is outside. Seriously, just go there.

Out of Towner here. Stayed across the street, was glad the cafe was in walking distance. The food and service here was amazing! The large burrito was massive and delicious. Food was decently priced as well. The place is cash only, they have an ATM on site for your convenience. There are also tables outside for eating as well.
